We live in a perfect world where we constantly pigeonhole ourselves and others. Do this! Do that! Look this way! Not like this! You do, you don't! In search of liberation from these expectations, Let's go Barbie presents a liberation dance: A physical quest where everything we have been taught is revisited and rewritten. In Let's go Barbie, we follow the story of Sue-Ann. Sue-Ann lives in a perfect world. A world where everything goes the way she was taught. A world where she feels at home. But suddenly something changes and nothing is what it seemed. What follows is a heartwarming escape from her perfect world. Let's go Barbie is an invitation to anyone who wants to free themselves from compelling expectations of the other or yourself. It is a visual, musical and physical performance about adapting and being able to feel free in a world that sometimes forgets you have a heart.
