When we think of incarceration, we usually think of being trapped, but what if you are trapped in your own life and want to escape from it?!In The Great Escape by OAKWOOD, we follow three characters, neatly dressed in suits and neatly behind their desks doing their jobs neatly. Their dreams and ambitions they have long ago stored away in an old drawer and then forgotten about them in the course of their lives. Until one of them keeps looking into the eyes of the other just a little too long. His deepest dormant desires bubble up, while the other two look on in amazement. In this absurdist, tragicomic and physical performance, the three try to break free from their mental prison as prisoners digging a tunnel to the outside world. Clichés and dreams are punctured, expectations are raised and humor is taken to the bizarre.
